Happy New Year to you too! I hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Lorna, hope that you have chased the cobwebs out and enjoyed the end of the festive period.
ReplyDeleteHappy very belated New Year!
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you for a Happy (belated) New Year!
ReplyDeleteIt's Feb, can we get a new post. Love your books, just read all 3 again for the 3rd time. Gotta find a way to speed up the process, I want more!
ReplyDeleteI was trying to think of other series like yours. Michelle Sagara's 'Cast in' series came to mind. I like the mix of fantasy, politics, world building. Any ideas on other series I might look into?
Happy Chinese new year. Hope all is well
ReplyDeleteHey lorna, havent heard anything from you but hope that its all going ok in your life and career
ReplyDeleteI also just finished rereading the Borderlands series for the 3rd time! Such a good series. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing this series as I have gotten so much enjoyment from it!
ReplyDeleteHi Lorna, looks like there hasn't been a post here for a while...anyway, love your series. Love Rabbit and his 2 mentors, and pretty much everyone in his world. So like all your fans, I'm also wondering how far along is book 4???
ReplyDeleteHope we see more of his family. His dad and uncle are pretty cool and I'm very curious about the rest of his siblings.
I only have Covenants and Shadows Past as King's Own is very hard to find or the used copies are too pricey for me. But they have a copy at the library and yes like the others have reread all 3 at least twice.
So thanks for creating a great story that we all enjoy over and over! Hope we get to the next book soon!
finished reading all three for the 3rd time all the way through, the first two I have read a couple of additional times looking forward to the fourth book.
ReplyDeletewe miss you lorna!! come back!
ReplyDeleteHey it's your Sister, give me a call. Miss you, Marcia
ReplyDeleteI would like to echo what "that girl" said, "We miss you, Lorna!" & please, pretty pretty please with sugar on top write some more about Rabbit (and maybe even give us an idea of how much longer we have to wait)!
ReplyDeleteSo, should we just give up? Your blog is dead, I can't find any current news about you online and you haven't surfaced.
ReplyDeletePlease don't leave us hanging. At least let us know if there will be more Rabbit books or not...
Did anyone contact her publishing house to understand if everything is allright?
ReplyDeletei have to say that your series is my all time favorite and when i'm having a bad day or am frustrated with my job, i will pick up one of the books and reread them. it always makes me feel better. although i am really looking forward to having the 4th one to read.
ReplyDeleteStacy
Hi, Lorna. Just checking in to see what is happening. Any news?
ReplyDeleteHi, Lorna! I'm a huge fan of the "Borderlands" series, and I had been checking to see if it was available electronically, because I've recommended it to several friends, but they've had trouble tracking down "King's Own." Apparently, it isn't, although I put in a request on Amazon that it be made available for the Kindle. Hopefully, if enough of us do so, they'll release the whole series as eBooks.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well, and I'm echoing everyone else's words and saying that I'm excited about the possibility of Book 4, but more importantly, I hope that all is well with you.
Best wishes,
-- Andi :)
where are you wonderful lady? your novels are incredibly good, your fans miss you, please let us know that your alive and well and at least hopefully working.
ReplyDeletegood luck to you!
I hope that you are alive and well. You are one of my all-time favorite authors, Lorna, and I hope that you will continue to bless the world with your gift.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or is Lorna Freeman one of the laziest authors around? She does not even update her own blog!?
ReplyDeleteActually, she is not. Many authors don't even have a website or blog and many of the ones that do, hire other people (or maybe a spouse) to update it for them. At any rate, I'd rather her not update her blog and keep working on the next fantastic book so that we get to read it sooner!
ReplyDeleteyes... if she is still doing that... did anybody write to her publisher to ask if there are any books of hers coming out?
ReplyDeleteJust leave her be. I believe that the new book is in progress and she just wants to take her time to ensure the new book is at its best so we can all enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI for one am actually quite concerned. It has now been over 2 years since her last blog post, and indeed since anyone, anywhere in the public sector has heard from Lorna Freeman. You can see on this very site that she was making a concerted effort to be more vocal/involved with her fans and the world in general, sharing her thoughts and concerns with daily life as well as with her writing, even with some fairly intimate and personal musings from time to time. From the tone of her blog and the frequency of her posts, I am not convinced this sudden 2 year long silence is just her "shifting into gear" as it were.
ReplyDeleteI know there was a similar communications blackout around the time of the release and subsequent publishing weirdness surrounding the third book, and I thought perhaps that could have been the case here, back in early 2011. But as it is now 2013, 2 years later, that's pushing it for publisher-related contention.
So please, Ms. Freeman, on behalf of your concerned fans, please let us know what is going on. Whether or not you are still working on the Borderlands series, or even still writing at all, just let us know if you're even still alive!
I still takes these books out for a read when I need something to distract me from the everyday. Please update that you are doing ok. Your fans are worried
ReplyDeleteJust let me say I love this series. Ms. Freeman, please let us know how you are doing. I don't mind the waiting (I've read jordan and am reading martin...) I'm just looking for some kind of update from/about you. Are you still working on the series, have you stopped writing altogether. If you have a personal or legal reason then I can understand the delay. Any kind of update or word would be appreciated. As a fan I hope your doing well.
ReplyDeletePlease finish. This is one of the best epic series I've read in a long while, and I've been reading for over 50 years.
ReplyDeleteHope you are OK.
ReplyDeleteDear Ms Freeman
ReplyDeleteAs a fan, I sincerely hope you are doing well at the moment. Is there any current news on what you are doing? I would love it if all this silence means a Rabbit-book in immediate future. Even if there is none though, would deeply appreciate it if you could just pop around so we might have an idea when to expect this.
Baring that, we totally understand if life is keeping you away from telling Rabbit's adventure at the moment but please please keep us updated if there is actual hiatus too
Yours
Aly
Hope you are doing well! Like most I came here checking for an update on Rabbit book 4. Any update at all would be great! Thank you for writing an amazing story =)
ReplyDeleteAlso in Germany, we expect the 4. part.
ReplyDeleteI hope very much that there will soon be the next part.
I love your books and have reread them (especially the first) many times. Like the others here I hope that you are happy and doing well.
ReplyDeleteI love the books, all three. I am hoping the fourth will be forthcoming in the next year (it is now February 2015). Please Ms. Freeman.... Yes, I am unashamed about my begging for the next book. You are a fantastic writer. All of your books have kept me waiting upon the next one.... What a super series!
ReplyDeletehas anyone heard if the series will continue or if it has been dropped? I am unable to find any updates regarding the author or the series.
ReplyDeletePlease write more or get someone to write more! Don't abandon Rabbit mid-story!
ReplyDeleteI own a bookstore and hand sell your books whenever possible. Please keep writing. We love you here in GA.
ReplyDeleteYes, after our house moving I found the old three parts of rabbit and his friends. I started to read them again and do not want to stop reading, but the end of part 3 is near.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I am asking please write part 4 and 5 and 6...
Best Regards
You have a gift few have . Be well .
ReplyDeleteAny updates on the author?
ReplyDeleteDear Ms Freeman,
ReplyDeleteI know many things happen in one's life. They can certainly interrupt plans and dreams. I hope that we will hear from you again. You are a writer with a very unique and wonderful story to tell. I have enjoyed Rabbit's journey through Shadows Past, The end of which was marvelous! If I were to win the lottery, I would make a TV series of your your books. I hope you will continue to write. Thank you.
Rick Slingerland
Just reread rabbit's adventures again. Amazing as always. Please write more whenever you can :)

ReplyDeleteDear Ms Freeman
ReplyDeleteI love your books and i hope you are doing well. I reread all 3 books! They are great. I would love to read the 4th part.
All the best from Switzerland
Any updates regarding the author?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there has been no word from the author or her former publishers in over 9 years.
ReplyDeleteThere was a probe at one point to see if any information could be gleaned as to whether or not she was still alive, but no-one connected to her will respond.
It is the majority assumption that she has at best given up writing permanently or worst; that she has sadly passed away.
according to this blog she was alive and well as of 2017 http://www.lynmcconchie.com
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the information on that blog. I wish she would self-publish that last book, I think it would sell well based on my knowledge as a bookseller of over 11 years. I myself recommended the series for years.
